Thursday Press #71: 50+ pins from one blog post?
[9 MAR 2023] my secret strategy for creating fresh pins
50+ pins from one blog post?
At the risk of sounding like a cheesy infomercial, it's NOT too good to be true, and you can do this, too!
Today, I'm answering one of the most frequently asked Pinterest questions: how many pins should I create for each blog post?
And bestie, I'm here to tell you that you're asking the wrong question. 👀
What you should be asking is how many pins can I create for each blog post.
The answer? The limit does not exist.
But howwww? Won't my audience get tired of seeing the same thing over and over again?
First, most Pinterest users are looking at your content in the home feed or search results, not going through your profile with a fine-tooth comb to see how many times you've pinned to the same blog post.
Second, you can (and should) create a variety of pins for the same blog post that have different looks, formats, and titles
& today I'm going to tell you exactly how to do that.
BELOW THE FOLD
There are two main ways you can get more pins from your blog post: switching up the design and switching up the copy. Let's talk design first.
1. Use a variety of pin templates
Having a bunch of different pin graphic templates means that you can create a lot of pins for the same blog post. It may be the same content, but with a different text layout, different photos, or different color background, it looks a little bit different.
And when you're working from templates, it's a lot easier to create different pin variations than to start from scratch every time.
2. Infographic that ish
Saveable content is all the rage on Pinterest right now, and infographic-style pins are uber-saveable. Things like checklists, Venn diagrams, and quotes give Pinterest users the information straight away without having to click for more.
Read through your blog post and see if there's any way you can turn the post or a section of the post into an infographic.
For this blog post, I could easily create at least 3 infographics
How to Market Your Lead Magnet in 6 Steps (using the main sub-headings of the post)
See how I'm taking sections of the original blog post and making that a main focus of the pin?
That's an excellent way to stretch that blog post a little further by switching up the copy and reframing the content. Which brings us to the copy section of this email…
3. Use Different Title Formats
There's no rule that you have to use the exact same blog post title as your pin title or text overlay. In fact, I would highly recommend using a bunch of different titles.Â
Here are some ideas of different title formats to try:

4. Focus on Different Sections of the Blog Post
You know that massive blog post you worked so hard on? Pull one of the subheadings and use that as the focus for a pin.
I could create a pin that's focused entirely on what to include in your lead magnet landing page that still links back to the same "How to Market Your Lead Magnet on Pinterest" blog post.
Zoom in and out of your content, look at it upside down, backward, or sideways... whatever it takes to find a new way to present the information.

6 Ways to Create More Fresh Pins for Pinterest
You don't have to create 50 pins for every blog post. And honestly, friend, you probably shouldn't.
Start by creating a batch of 3-10 pins, depending on what you have time for. Still use these tips to get a good variety of pins to promote!
Then, after the pins have been published and circulating for a while, if you notice that one or a few of them are getting a lot of saves or clicks, consider revisiting the post and creating a new batch of pins.
Rinse and repeat as necessary!
