Dang, this keyboard is pretty dusty!
I hope the holidays have brought you lots of yummy food, rest, and laughter, bestie!
Personally, I spent the last three days recovering from the stomach bug Santa brought me 🥴 but let's not dwell on that…
There are TWO days left in 2023 and I can't freakin' believe it. Before we close out this month and this year, I'm slipping the last Friday Favorites of 2023 into your inbox, featuring what I've been learning & loving in December!
WHAT I'M LEARNING
I can't believe I didn't include this in my lessons of 2023, but something I learned in December is that your people love YOU.
You've probably heard lots of variations of this, like “People buy from people” and “No one can be you," but have you actually applied that to your offers?
December was the first time I offered a live education offering and I was so stoked by the responses I got! It truly reminded me that a personal touch can make all the difference.
Something I think we'll see a lot more of in 2024 is a move away from “traditional” passive income like workbooks and self-paced courses in favor of live workshops and trainings.
Your direct experience is what your people want to know, and sometimes the best way to share that is face-to-virtual-face!
And because I had a few requests when I was promoting the live class, you're the first to know that the replay of the Pinterest Content Strategy training is now available for purchase!
If you're interested, get the deets & grab the replay here!
It's not too late to get those last-minute 2023 business expenses in… 👀
WHAT I'M LOVING
Favorite Book: Of the books I read in December, two stand out that I must recommend. 1) Iron Flame (the sequel to the much-hyped Fourth Wing). I don't care what you say, these books are FUN.
The second recommendation is for my historical fiction loving besties – The Things We Cannot Say by Kelly Rimmer. I was basically crying throughout this whole book, but in a good way. It was so touching and sweet!
Favorite Watch: We finally started watching the final season of Sex Education and my GOD I love that show so much. It's so funny, but I don't recommend it as a family watch unless you're REALLY comfortable with your family…
Favorite Desk Tunes: Apparently I set the internet on fire when I shared this cozy Christmas playlist. (I'm exaggerating. I think a total of 3 people thanked me? So, you know, basically the whole internet…). Any sort of cozy jazz ambiance has been the vibe for the most part!
Favorite Posts:
Favorite Coffee Order: My favorite holiday coffee is actually one you can get all year round — peppermint mocha. I reaaaallly prefer the white chocolate peppermint mocha, but either will do. I am a FIRM believer in the supremacy of mint + chocolate.
And of course, here's this month's favorite cat pictures:
Of course it had to be festive!!! Also I think the last big mystery of humanity is how to get a good picture of both a human and a cat at the same time (don't even get me started on trying to get all four of us in one photo…)
